I became a family law attorney because I wanted to protect children. That sounds simple, and in some ways it is. But after sixteen years in this practice, across hundreds of dissolutions, custody battles, support fights, and domestic violence cases, I have come to understand that protecting children in family law is the hardest and most important work a lawyer can do. It is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like fighting for an overnight schedule that lets a parent actually parent. Sometimes it looks like protecting a parent from financial coercion so they can keep a roof over their kids' heads. Sometimes it looks like building a record so a judge can see what is really happening in a home, and sometimes it looks like a settlement that ends a war before the children are old enough to remember it was fought, or, where the children are older, before the damage becomes permanent.

The parents who hire me are often in a difficult chapter of their lives. They are scared, they are tired, and they are trying to protect their kids while the ground is moving under their feet. They do not need a lawyer who treats their case like a transaction. I am a Certified Family Law Specialist. I handle complex dissolutions, contested custody, support, and domestic violence matters in Los Angeles and Orange County. I draft the motions, I argue the hearings, and I do the forensic work that holds opposing parties accountable when they try to hide assets or misrepresent income.
